3D View does not work on my computer
Try installing the latest release of DirectX from Microsoft. If you are running Windows 98 or Me, you need to upgrade to Windows XP to get it to work.
The Licence Key supplied does not work.
Carefully check that you have typed the Licensed User Name, Serial Number and Licence Key exactly as provided. The user name is part of the key and must be entered as shown.
Tip: All 0's are zeros not alpha character O's
If you've used a Trial CD or web download, make sure that you have remembered to replace the serial number and re-registered your software to obtain a new licence key after purchasing Memory-Map.
I've lost my serial number and licence key details.
Email Memory-Map to obtain a copy of your licence details.
Can Memory-Map show Grid References instead of Latitude/Longitude?
Yes: Click Mode, Position Format. UTM Grid (NAD27 and 83) and British National Grid are supported.
My GPS position or tracks are always about 100m out?
Check that your GPS has been set to WGS84. This is the world standard for digital maps. This will normally be found in your GPS device Set-up menu.
How can I print a route if it crosses more than one map?
You can join maps together to make larger, seamless maps. Right-click in the area off the edge of the map where you wish to add a new map and click Merge Chart.
I can't print because the Print commands are grayed out.
Memory-Map Navigator supports full color high resolution printing. Memory-Map Pocket Navigator does not support printing as standard but can simply be upgraded to Memory-Map Navigator. Call Memory-Map or buy an upgrade on-line.
How much memory does my Pocket PC need?
It is possible to run Memory-Map in 16Mb devices. If you need to store more maps then an additional storage device such as a Compact Flash card, SD or Micro Drive is recommended.
Is there a faster way to send maps to the Pocket PC?
If you're using an additional storage card (such as Compact Flash or SD) you can use a dedicated USB Card Reader or a CF/PC card adaptor instead of your Pocket PC's card slot. These are available from most good PC stores. Copy the QCT files from C:\Program Files\Memory-Map\Navigator\qct to any folder on the flash card.
How can I connect a handheld GPS to my Pocket PC?
See our accessory cables.
