Welcome, Geocachers!

Memory-Map welcomes you to the home of our award winning Memory-Map Navigator software. Are you tired of those vague maps you find on most mapping GPS units? Are you using street navigation software to get you to the cache, only to have it strand you when the road stops a mile from the cache? Let us change the way you think about caching!

Detailed topographic maps

Memory-Map Navigator can import a wide variety of map formats including standard USGS DRGs, Maptech marine charts and maps, eTopo maps and many others. You can even scan and calibrate your own paper maps.  With our Discoverer packages, you get the full range of USGS maps (1:24k, 1:100k and 1:250k scales) for an entire state (or states) plus elevation data and more in one bundle!

Using these maps, you can see where the cache is, where you are, and the best path between the two.  Instead of just an arrow showing you a  direction and distance, you see what is between you and the prized booty.  Am I going to have to cross a stream to get there?  Is there a path passing near the cache?  You also have reference points.  “Oh, it should be just east of this building!”  Or, “It’s right along the lake”.  You can even set proximity alarms to tell you when you are getting close.  (Also great for determining saturation when placing caches).

Runs on both the PC and Pocket PC

The program includes a PC version and Pocket PC version.  This allows you to plan your hunts in the comfort of your home.  Download LOC and GPX files from Geocaching.com and determine which caches you want to seek.  The marks you import will link directly to the cache website when double-clicked.  View the terrain in 3D to determine the best plan of attack.  Place marks and text notes on the map to help organize information.  Then, transfer the information to your Pocket PC and head out to the field.

Memory-Map allows you to take these maps into the field with you. No need to print out page after page of maps. Simply send the map to the PDA (along with your cache waypoints) and carry them along.  If you use a program like GSAK, you can send the cache pages to your PDA as well.  Now, you have all the information you will need for the hunt!
